Commercial Holographic Films & Plates
| Requirements | Holographic Films, Silver Halide Emulsion | Commercial Holographic Folms & Plates | Hardened Dichromated Gelatin (DCG) | Photoresists | Photothermoplastics | Photochromatics | Photodichroics | Photorefractive Materials(Electro-Optic Materials) | Health Hazards of Processing Chemicals |
After discontinuation of silver halide plates by Agfa Co., holographers had difficulty in finding suitable silver halide materials. Thanks to the Russian plates now available from Slavich International Office, GEOLA in Lithuania. Ilford Co. had introduced a film which can be a true panchromatic film useful for recording a multicolour hologram. The introduction of BIPS layer in red sensitive Ilford emulsion is an advantage for making master reflection holograms for replication.
The FOLLOWING FILMS AND PLATES in different sizes are available: The fine grain, green-sensitive emulsions (average grain size 35-40nm) for both pulsed and CW laser recording of holograms. Resolving power for this material is more than 3000 lines/mm, and it is sensitive for 488nm, 514nm, 526nm and 532nm. The fine grain, red sensitive material for CW recording. The average grain size of this material is 40nm, resolution more than 3000 lines/mm and spectral sensitivity 600-680nm The ultrafine grain emulsions (red sensitive, average grain size 40nm) and The panchromatic emulsion with average grain size 8-12nm, spectral sensitivity 633nm, 647nm for CW laser recording for reflection holograms. The long-life Dichromated Gelatine emulsion for recording in the blue and green spectral ranges.
